RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL was established in May 2016

Rietvlei Soccer School (RSS) is located in the South of Johannesburg and Alberton area on a beautiful farm called Rietvlei Zoo Farm, utilising two Astro Soccer Fields and a Junior Grass Field.

Our vision is to develop football players in our community using specialised football programmes to help the player find their creativity, nurture their passion, follow their commitment, direct their enthusiasm, improve their technical and physical abilities, build their character and inevitably help them achieve their highest potential and become better citizens of society.

Our soccer school strives to offer a high level of football coaching and coaching education activities including basic football skills development programmes & lessons, specialised & elite football training clinics, fun soccer school holiday campos and soccer weekend festivals, events and tournaments and coach the coach programmes.

Rietvlei Soccer School aims to positively impact, develop and improve youth football skills through discovering and developing unique football talent, equipping them with leadership qualities and encouraging good sportsmanship, using a positive, safe and fun learning environment.

Rietvlei Soccer School’s mission is to prepare youth football players for professionalism, using age specific training models, life skills programmes, qualified coaches and a professional environment.

RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL - ABOUT THE TEAM OF COACHES

Rietvlei Soccer School is managed by Managing Director/Owner Mrs Toni Mackrell, and a team of male and female SAFA accredited coaches and intern coaches. Our SAFA accredited Head Coach Godfred Adjartey, is a former semi-professional football player for Ghana, who has spent the last nine years in the youth football development and coaching, and the Technical Coach Jean-Martial Mbira was a professional football player from Gabon for five years, has done his coaching with Samuel Eto Academy in Gabon, coached in Europe with and did a FIFA International Course, and has headed up a LBV Football Academy for the President Ali Bongo of Gabon for three years. He has coaching experience in South Africa for NML Football Club and AFDA Football Club.

Our Rietvlei Soccer School coaches are passionate about football and developing youth, and together with Rietvlei Soccer School’s facilities, mission and vision, we plan to deliver the best youth football development programmes in our Community. We believe that every player and coach within our football programmes will improve, gain self-confidence and have discipline on and off the pitch.

RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL – ANNUAL OLA FESTIVAL

Rietvlei Soccer School hosts an annual fun football festival, on National Heritage and Braai Day,which falls on the 24th September of each year, sponsored by Ola Ice-cream.

The football festival is open to boy and girl football players ages 6 to 18 years old from Jhb South and Alberton area. This is to encourage children in our community to put together a team of their friends and come play 6v6 and 7v7 fun small side games, and celebrate National Heritage and Braai Day, as fellow South Africans. RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL – SCHOOL COACHING

Rietvlei Soccer School offers coaching for Pre-primary, Primary and High Schools in our Community: RSS DEVELOPMENT & SKILL LESSONS RSS PE LESSONS Monday to Fridays

We are on a mission to grow, develop and promote football in our Community! We are targeting SCHOOLS in our area so that we can teach every child how to play football, the basics of football techniques, especially for girls!

RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL – SOCCER LESSONS AND FEES

Rietvlei Soccer Schools offers soccer lessons for boys and girls ages 3 to 18 years from Mondays to Sundays, all year round. Players can attend soccer lessons as often as they choose:- once a week, twice a week or more than three times a week. Rietvlei Soccer School is located at Rietvlei Zoo Farm. Monthly Fees are as follows:
R500 per month for once a week
R660 per month for twice a week
R800 per month for three or more times per week
First lesson is FREE

Rietvlei Soccer School strives to offer a high level of football coaching and coaching education activities. We assist our coaches to improve their qualifications and strive to aim higher by sending them on courses to help them continually improve and grow.

RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL – PROMOTING FOOTBALL IN JHB SOUTH AND ALBERTON

RIETVLEI SPRING SOCCER ROADSHOW - Rietvlei Zoo Farm and Soccer School staff did a Spring Soccer Roadshow to all Nursery, Pre-primary and Primary Schools in the Jhb South and Alberton area, during the months of September, October & November 2019. The Roadshow included a visit from Zak the Zoo Buddy and his Furry Friends and the Rietvlei Soccer School coaches will play some football games with the children. We give each child a goodie bag as a special treat!

Rietvlei Roadshow is currently visiting 85 x nursery schools in the Jhb South & Alberton area with our Soccer and Easter Roadshow during February, March and April 2020. RIETVLEI SOCCER SCHOOL – SUMMER SOCCER LEAGUE 2019

Rietvlei Soccer School invited football players from Jhb South and Alberton area to participate in our fun youth Summer Soccer League 2019 held at Rietvlei Zoo Farm Grass & Astro Fields from Saturday 19th October 2019 to Sunday 8th December 2019. Soccer teams played small sided games as follows: ages U6 and U8 will play 6v6 format on the Astro Fields and players ages u10, u12, u13 and u15 will play 7v7 format on the grass youth fields. The Summer Soccer League ended off with a fun festival on the last weekend of 7th & 8th December 2019. Due to the success of this Summer Youth League event, we plan to do another Summer League end 2020.
